Hello! My name is Daniel but please call me Yeda (Ye-duh). I started my journey into the world of health and wellness through first seeking to understand my own spirit. While I was raised in the Christian faith, when I reached adulthood, I quickly discovered that I had many more questions than I did answers. As such I went looking toward the eastern traditions, studying various ancient texts and philosophies. I ultimately realized I wanted to help people and my first thought was to bring the same wisdom I was finding to those around me. Very few were receptive in the way I had hoped, maybe my views and understandings were too much in the clouds for most people. Needless to say, I hit my first wall. I decided to go searching for answers elsewhere and along the way found and started my family. With the birth of my first son quickly approaching, I redirected my focus on giving back to others, this time through something more practical, the human body and healing. I found myself in a massage program that eventually led me even further into the healing world where I discovered acupuncture. By this point I had already heard of and was familiar with Qi but I had no idea that it was the foundation for a whole system of medicine. After completing my massage certification, I immediately jumped into a Master's of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine program at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine. During my time at school, I cultivated a deep connection once again to the human spirit and honed my practice toward the treatment of the deeply rooted traumas that lie within all of us. I found that some of these were personal, holding a memory and story surrounding them that influenced my patients lives. Sometimes the influences were beneficial, other times they were burdensome. I also discovered that some of these traumas are collective and lie within humanity as a whole. These traumas reside so deep in the unconscious that many of us would never think that they were traumas and could influence our lives in the way they do. Now, it is my mission of bring the deep wisdom I have uncovered and the power of healing medicines together in hopes that it may benefit everyone who walks into my clinic space.
